Description of the position

The candidate for the aforementioned position should meet the following criteria:
Hold an academic degree: habilitated doctor in the field of social sciences (especially in political science and administration, or security studies, or social communication and media studies) or humanities (especially in cultural and religious studies or literary studies).

The candidate is expected to have previous research achievements – confirmed by publications in peer-reviewed journals and collective monographs as well as national and international conference papers. An experience related to foreign academic, study, and research stays at university, scientific, and archival institutions, as well as experience participating in research grants (national or international) is desirable.

Required is teaching experience in higher education entities, including conducting classes in social sciences or humanities. Experience in conducting classes in English is also expected. Organizational skills in preparing scientific conferences and activity in promoting science and education within and beyond higher education institutions are desirable. Additional experience in popularizing science will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- scope of tasks in the area of research;
- conducting scientific research in the declared scientific discipline
- submitting grant applications in departmental, university and non-university proceedings;
- submitting articles, chapters in monographs, or monograps for publication in periodicals and scientific publications;

Responsibilities in area of teaching duties:
- conducting teaching classes carried out as part of an employment relationship on an annual basis;
- timely preparation of study documentation for academic teachers;
- conducting examinations and tests, including diploma examinations;
- supervising students’ final and semester papers;
- conducting and reviewing diploma theses;
- developing teaching materials for classes;
- conducting consultations with students at a set number of hours;
- ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system;
- performing other teaching duties assigned by the direct superior;

Responsibilities in area of organizational duties:
- organizing promotional and presentation campaigns for the Faculty and University and participating in them;
- organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;
- other organizational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the Faculty and University, improving the quality of education and scientific research;

We offer a professor's salary with remuneration regulated by the regulation of the Minister of Science.
