Center for history of science is looking for a
University Assistant without doctorate
(20 hours a week; fixed-term employment for the period of 3 years; position to be filled as of June 1st 2015 )
Job specification
- Writing of a dissertation
- Independent realisation and holding of lectures
- Realisation of research in the area of the history of the natural sciences; a main focus around 1600 or 1900 is welcome
- Support of the professorship with the procurement of third-party funds
Professional qualifications
- Very good completed diploma or master's degree in humanities or natural sciences
- Command of foreign languages; Latin knowledge desirably
- Knowledge in history of science
Personal profile
- Interests concerning issues and problems of historical research
- Interests in interdisciplinary research
Classification
Salary scheme of the Universitäten-KV (University Collective Agreement): B1
Minimum salary
The minimum salary as stated in the collective agreement and according to the classification scheme is EUR 1331.50 gross/month. This minimum salary may be higher due to previous employment periods eligible for inclusion and other earnings and remunerations.
