At Leicester we’re going places. As a leading University in Britain our aim is to climb further. A commitment to high quality fused with an inclusive academic culture is our hallmark and led the Times Higher Education to describe us as “elite without being elitist”.

In this position you will undertake teaching in the field of Twentieth Century European History, including modules on modern Europe, the Holocaust, Fascism, and Race and Ethnicity. You will also carry out administration and other activities that contribute to and support the work and enhance the reputation of the School and the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

You will have a completed, or nearly completed, PhD or equivalent in Twentieth Century European History, and have experience of teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in lectures, tutorials or seminars.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Prof John Coffey, Head of School, on 0116 252 2592, or jrdc1@le.ac.uk
