Im Rahmen des von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft geförderten Graduiertenkollegs "Konfigurationen des Films" (GRK 2279) am Institut für Theater-, Film- und Medienwissenschaft der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt sind zum 1. Juli 2017 2 Post-Doc-Stellen (TV-L 13, 100%) zu besetzen.
BewerberInnnen sollten eine Promotion in Filmwissenschat oder Medienwissenschaft oder in einer benachbarten Disziplin abgeschlossen haben.
Das Graduiertenkolleg untersucht die aktuellen Transformationen der Medienkultur im Zeichen der Verbreitung und Zirkulation des Films jenseits des klassischen Kinodispositivs. Auf den drei Arbeitsfeldern „Formbildungen“, „Verwendungen“ und „Verortungen“ fragt das Kolleg in medienhistorischer und systematisch-vergleichender Perspektive nach den Dynamiken von Genese und Wandel unterschiedlicher Konfigurationen des Films.
Die InhaberInnen der Post-Doc-Stellen verfolgen eigene Forschungsvorhaben und übernehmen Aufgaben der wissenschaftlichen Koordination von Arbeitsgruppen der DoktorandInnen.

Die Doktorandinnenstellen sind befristet für die Dauer des Promotionsverfahrens, längstens jedoch für einen Zeitraum von 3 Jahren.

2 Post-Doc positions, Research Training Group "Configurations of Film"

The Research Training Group "Configurations of Film" (GRK 2279), funded by the German Research Foundation, offers two four-and-a-half-year Post-Doc positions (TV-L 13, 100% / salary range: 44,384.89€ – 51,933.42€) with a start date of July 1, 2017.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in film studies or media studies or in a related field.
The Research Training Group “Configurations of Film” studies the current transformations of media culture with a focus on the circulation of moving images. The program combines historical with theoretical perspectives and analyzes a wide variety of different configurations of films outside and beyond the classical dispositif of cinema.
The Post-Doc scholars will pursue their own research related to the program’s three research areas “Formation”, “Usage” and “Localization.” They will oversee working groups with the Ph.D. candidates and will be involved in the planning and realization of the group’s study program.
Applications should include a letter of motivation, CV, copies of degrees and diplomas, a two- to three-pages abstract of the proposed research project, and a bibliography. The abstract should identify the area of research, the research question and a discussion of methodology. It should also include information about the current status of the project and a time frame.
Non-native speakers must provide a certificate of German language skills on the level DSH-II/C1.

The Research Training Group " Configurations of Film" (GRK 2279), funded by the German Research Foundation, offers twelve three-year Ph.D. positions (TV-L 13, 65% / salary range: 28,850.18€ – 33,756.72€ EBT) with a start date of July 1, 2017.
We invite applications from prospective Ph.D. candidates with master degrees in film studies or media studies or in related fields like American studies, musicology, philosophy, and theater studies.
The Research Training Group “Configurations of Film” studies the current transformations of media culture with a focus on the circulation of moving images.
