Llamazares Martín, Andoni, The lex Metilia fullonibus dicta and the Production and Trade of creta Sarda,
pp. 165–190
A new interpretation for the context of the lex Metilia (220) and the censorial involvement in the approval is offered. The regulation was approved at that time due to the recent conquest of Sardinia, from where one of the main detergents employed by fullers was imported. The censors’ intervention is connected to the administration of vectigalia: either some fullonicae in Rome were public property (or placed on public land), or, more probably, the Republic obtained revenue from quarries of fuller’s earth in Sardinia.

Cecconi, Niccolò, Atene traboccante di gloria
pp. 191–213

Dimitrijević, Milijan / Prica, Mihajlo, Where Did Marcus Aurelius Die?
pp. 214–241
In this study the question where the Roman emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius died on 17 March 180 C. E. is considered. To determine whether the place of death was either Sirmium or Vindobona, the literary evidence is reassessed, with an archaeological argument introduced into the debate. Explored are the reasons for different interpretations of this topic in historiography.

Liccardo, Salvatore, The Urban Populaces of Alexandria and Carthage in the Expositio totius mundi et gentium,
pp. 242–258
Long forgotten, the Expositio totius mundi et gentium, a Late Antique geographical treatise that was first rediscovered in the 17th century, has attracted considerable scholarly attention. This article offers new interpretations of two passages, namely Expositio 37 and 61. These are description of the political activism of the citizens of Alexandria and the moral condemnation of the inhabitants of Roman Africa. These sections stand out amidst the work’s routine depiction of Roman provinces and urban centers. Analysis of the passages suggests 358–361 as the most likely dating of the Greek original and further elucidate the author’s cultural background.
