International Interdisciplinary Workshop: Ideas of Objectivity
With Humberto Maturana and Christoph Reinfandt
Tübingen, November 7th-11th, 2011
The Forum Scientiarum of the University of Tübingen is organizing a one-week international interdisciplinary workshop with Humberto Maturana (Escuela Matriztica de Santiago, Chile) and Christoph Reinfandt (University of Tübingen) which will take place during this year´s Unseld Lectures. We ask you to circulate the call within your institution´s mailinglists and, if possible, would appreciate the call´s publication on your website in order to reach all prospective participants of a wide range of scientific disciplines and fields of specialization.
Program: The interdisciplinary workshop will take place at Forum Scientiarum of Tübingen University, from November 7th afternoon to November 11th afternoon. Twenty graduate students and junior scientists from all over the world will have the opportunity to work on ideas of objectivity with Humberto Maturana, neurobiologist and philosopher at the Escuela Matriztica de Santiago in Chile, and Christoph Reinfandt, Professor of English Literature at the University of Tübingen. Mornings the participants will discuss theories of objectivity with Christoph Reinfandt. In the afternoons the workshop will be directed by Humberto Maturana, discussing his own works. The students will also follow the Unseld Lecture on the second day and an interdisciplinary colloquium on the fourth day of the workshop.
