The workshop aims to bring together young scholars working on financial history topics relevant to today’s key finance questions such as financial crisis, market movements and effects of regulation, financial innovation, features and function of financial systems etc. The workshop is headed by Prof. Barry Eichengreen, holder of the Goethe University Visiting Professorship of Financial History in 2019, who will provide feedback to the selected papers. The participants of the workshop will also be invited to attend the conference organized by Prof. Barry Eichengreen on "High Public Debt: Theoretical and Historical Perspectives". The conference will take place on the following day (17th May 2019) at Goethe University.
Complete manuscripts or 3-page drafts should be submitted on the website (https://safe-frankfurt.de/datacenter/_dataservices/call_for_papers/subm.php) no later than 28th October 2018. We will acknowledge receipt of submission and the authors of accepted papers will be notified by 1st December 2018.
