Dear colleagues,
As a follow-up to our 2018-2019 seminar "Epistemology and Practices of the Digital Humanities », we are organizing a full study day on March 27, 2020 in Paris.
Our focus last year was on how evaluation bodies for education programmes dealt with digital humanities.
We wish to continue exploring the implementation of digital humanities in undergraduate, master's and doctoral training pedagogical practices. A related point of interest is the process of launching and setting up undergraduate and masters programmes explicitly labelled "digital humanities".
This call for proposals is therefore addressed to colleagues working in these fields or having participated in the design of these training and/or teaching programmes, but also to directors of research units or doctoral schools. We welcome proposals from doctoral students willing to share with us their experience and questions on the place of digital humanities in their own institutions and research practices.
In keeping with our historical line of enquiry, we would like proposals to address and explore the mutual influence of epistemological questioning and practical implementation.
The study day will take place on March 27, 2020 at the University of Paris 8 (Maison de la Recherche, 2 rue de la liberté, Saint-Denis).
Proposals of 200-300 words, in French or in English, accompanied by a short bio-note (up to 5 lines), should be sent to
seminaire.ephn@gmail.com* before November 15, 2019.
