Throughout the last decade, the scope of Digital Humanities has expanded considerably through growing interdisciplinary collaborations with Computer and Data Science. In the midst of this ever-evolving context, new methods and tools have been created through the intervention of various institutions.NewsEye, funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, is a research project advancing the state of the art in Digital Humanities (DH) by providing enhanced access to historical newspapers. Hosted online by the Bibliothèque nationale de France (National Library of France), the project’s international conference seeks to both present and examine the wide range of DH methods and tools which impact the digital research landscape of today.

Submissions are being accepted for both 15-minute individual papers and 45-minute collective panel sessions. Panels must be composed with diversity in mind (in terms of age, gender, country, etc.) and should not include multiple individualswho are participants in the same project and/or from the same institution(s).

To propose an individual paper or a collective panel, please send the following information in English to newseyeconference@gmail.com by 19 January 2021 at midnight CET:

- The name(s), email address(es), and country/countriesof theparticipant(s)
- A short biography or CV of the participant(s)
- An abstract (500 words for individual papers and 1,500 words for collective panels including paper-abstracts)

We welcome contributions from all disciplines and career stages, especially early career researchers. Every submission will be reviewed by at least two committee members who come from various professional backgrounds. Extended abstracts of accepted submissions will beuploaded to NewsEye’s website and Zenodo page at the conference's end. Topics may include (but are certainly not limited to):
