In tandem with the international conference organized by the Academy of the Performing Arts in Prague in November 2019, ArteActa journal is currently putting together a thematized issue dedicated to reflections on the work of Bertolt Brecht and his significance in contemporary performative arts.

We are currently accepting contributions – especially academic articles, but also essays, review-related works, and translations – from the audiovisual, music, or theatre fields, as well as texts which speak to Brecht’s practical and theoretical work in transdisciplinary, cultural, or political contexts.

Languages of contributions: Czech, Slovak, English
Expected length of submissions: 15-30 standard pages
Deadline for sending prepared submissions: 28 February 2020
