For the Academic Year 2025/2026 MIASA is offering:
- up to ten Individual Residential Fellowships for 3-10 months each at the University of Ghana
- up to two Tandem Residential Fellowships (with one tandem partner affiliated with a German institution and the other candidate with an African institution) for 3-6 months each at the University of Ghana
Earliest starting point for Individual and Tandem Fellowships is June 2025. The application deadline for both fellowship calls is 30 August 2024.
MIASA is broadly dedicated to research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, with ‘Sustainable Governance’ as its central topic. Overarching aims of MIASA are working towards a reduction of global asymmetries in knowledge production and bridging the cultural divide between anglophone, francophone and lusophone Africa. MIASA, established in 2018, serves as a hub for exchange, networking and collaboration amongst leading researchers from Germany, Ghana, the African and European continents, and beyond. It is located on the beautiful campus of the University of Ghana at Legon (Accra).
