Die Universität Konstanz wird seit 2007 im Rahmen der Exzellenzinitiative des Bundes und der Länder mit ihrem "Zukunftskonzept zum Ausbau universitärer Spitzenforschung" gefördert.
Im Exzellenzcluster „Kulturelle Grundlagen von Integration“ an der Universität Konstanz ist in Verbindung mit dem Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) in Berlin ab 01.11.2017 die Ganztagsstelle einer/eines
Akademischen Mitarbeiterin / Akademischen Mitarbeiters
(Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L)
befristet bis zum 31.10.2019 zu besetzen. Die Stelle ist grundsätzlich teilbar.
Die Stelle wird im Rahmen einer Kooperation zwischen dem Exzellenzcluster und dem HKW eingerichtet, die auf verstärkte Synergien zwischen wissenschaftlicher Forschung, artistic research und Museumspraxis hinwirken soll.
Die Stelleninhaberin / der Stelleninhaber soll ein eigenständiges Forschungsprojekt realisieren, das einen Beitrag zu der drängenden Problematik darstellt, wie heutige Gesellschaften ihre Selbstbeschreibungen unter Bedingungen erhöhter Mobilität und Massenmedialität narrativ organisieren. In dieser Fragestellung verbinden sich Vorhaben und Forschungsinteressen der beiden beteiligten Institutionen. Anforderungen
Erwartet wird ein ausgeprägtes Forschungsprofil (im Regelfall eine Dissertation) in den Kulturwissenschaften oder angrenzenden Disziplinen bzw. beruflichen Tätigkeitsfeldern.

The University of Konstanz, with its “lnstitutional Strategy to promote Top-Level Research,” has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within the framewerk of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.
In conjunction with the House of the Cultures of the World (Haus der Kulturen der Welt, HKW) in Berlin, the Center of Excellence “Cultural Foundations of Social Integration” at the University of Konstanz is offering a full-time
Postdoctoral Position (Salary Scale 13 TV-L / 100%).
The starting date is 1 November 2017, and the position is available until 31 October 2019. In principle, the position may be divided into two half-time positions.
The position has been established within the framework of a partnership between the Center of Excellence and the HKW, and it aims to increase synergies between academic scholarship, artistic research and museum practice.
The applicant has to realize an independent research project which contributes to the urgent problem of how today’s societies organize narratively their self-descriptions under conditions of increased mobility and mass mediality. This question combines the projects and research interests of the two institutions involved. Requirements
Applicants should have a distinct research profile (usually a dissertation) in the cultural sciences (Kulturwissenschaften) or related disciplines and/or professional fields of activity.
