Faculty I - Center for Research on Antisemitism
Reference number: I-724/17 (starting at 01/03/18 / for up to 5 years / closing date for applications 31/01/18)
Working field:
- Pursuing an independent and innovative research project in the research field of antisemitism and/or racism, possibly related to the “Langerman collection” (http://www.pressestelle.tu-berlin.de/menue/ tub_medien/publikationen/medien- informationen/2017/oktober_2017/medieninformation_nr_1712017/)
- Active participation in the research and public relations activities of the Center for Research on Antisemitism
- Publishing of research results
- Regular teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level in English. The teaching would have to fit into the curriculum of the MA “Interdisciplinary Research on antisemitism” (http://www.tu-berlin.de/fakultaet_i/zentrum_fuer_antisemitismusforschung/menue/studium_und_lehre/m_a_ studiengang)
- Engaging in assessment activities and academic administration
Requirements:
- successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in sociology, anthropology, literature studies or Islamic studies
- successfully completed PhD/DPhil in one of these disciplines
- an innovative future project within the research area of the Center
- excellent English language skills, both oral and writing
knowledge of the German language would be ideal. The willingness to learn German is a requirement
- excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
