The Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor (UD) in Philosophy of Religion (0.8 FTE).
As a successful applicant, you will work in the Department of Christianity and the History of Ideas, which is one of three departments in the Faculty. The Department of Christianity and the History of Ideas is a multidisciplinary department with a focus on cultural heritage, intellectual history, history of Christianity, ethics and philosophy, and on the contemporary governance of religion. Members of the Department participate in the Centre for Religion, Conflict and Globalization and the Centre for Religion and Heritage.
We welcome applications from scholars, whose research profile can make a strong contribution to our research culture. Applicants may approach philosophical inquiry as it relates to religious traditions other than Christianity, for example, Judaism or Islam.
As appointee, you will teach and conduct research in the Philosophy of Religion and fulfill your share in the administration of Department and Faculty. The ratio of research / teaching / administrative time is 40 / 50 / 10 per cent. Acquisition of external research funding may lead to teaching load reductions.
