Territoriale Gerechtigkeit ist angesichts wachsender Ungleichheiten im Zugang zu und der Verteilung von Ressourcen (wieder) zu einer aktuellen Forderung und Aufgabe von Architektur, Raumplanung und Urbanismus geworden. GAM.15 – Territorial Justice widmet sich peripheren, ländlichen Räumen, die von diesem Diskurs bislang wenig beachtet werden. Die Beiträge in GAM.15 aus Urbanismus, Landschaftsarchitektur, Regionalplanung, Soziologie und Geografie zeigen Räume in Transformation und stellen Ideen vor, wie räumliche Gerechtigkeit aussehen kann. In aktuellen Zustandsbeschreibungen benachteiligter Gebiete wird deutlich, dass jede Politik, die darauf abzielt, Ungerechtigkeit zu beseitigen oder zu bekämpfen, gut beraten ist, spezifisch räumlich-soziale – also territoriale – Blickwinkel einzunehmen und somit auf die Expertise von PlanerInnen und GestalterInnen angewiesen ist.
In the face of growing inequalities in access to and distribution of resources, territorial justice has (once again) become a current issue and task in the fields of architecture, planning, and urbanism. GAM.15 – Territorial Justice is dedicated to rural and peripheral spaces that have until now received little attention from this discourse. The contributions in GAM.15 – coming from perspectives of urbanism, landscape architecture, regional planning, sociology and geography – show spaces in transformation and present ideas for what forms spatial justice can take. Current descriptions of disadvanaged areas make clear that any policy aimed at eliminating or combating injustice would do well to take on specific socio-spatial – i.e. territorial – points of view, and as such to rely on the expertise of planners and designers.
