Obrazy z každodenného života šľachtickej rodiny Drugethovcov ako paradigma rytierskej kultúry a spôsobu života novej aristokracie
(Pictures of the Everyday Life of the Drugeth Aristocratic Family as a Paradigm of Chivalrous Culture and the Way of Life of the New Aristocracy)
This work considers chivalrous culture, the everyday life and habits of the Drugeth family as typical representatives of the new aristocracy, which developed under the rule of Charles Robert (1301 – 1342), first King of Hungary from the Angevin dynasty. Due to its origin (Gallici), contacts with the dynasty and political role at the court, the foreign Drugeth family brought Western influences to the young court of Charles Robert at Visegrád. Using new examples and comparisons, the author endeavours to analyse and illustrate the views existing in historiography regarding the role of the Drugeth family in the process of introducing Western, chivalrous forms.

Systém sociálnej starostlivosti v Bratislave v 19. storočí a jeho modernizácia na prelome 19. a 20. storočia
(The System of Social Care in 19th Century Bratislava and its Modernization around 1900)
The study describes the main principles and stages of modernization in the long 19th century in the Kingdom of Hungary on both the state and local levels
using the example of Pressburg / Bratislava. Since the reforms of Joseph II directed towards centralization of care for the poor in the Kingdom of Hungary were not implemented, care for poor and socially dependent people in the towns of Hungary was mainly the responsibility of municipal, church and charitable institutions. Until the fall of the Habsburg Monarchy, the Kingdom of Hungary devoted little attention to care for the poor, and state social policy had only weak effects. In comparison with other towns in Hungary, Pressburg / Bratislava had a mature network of communal and church institutions for social care, which were incorporated into an emerging system of communal social policy around 1900.

Prístup vedenia Komunistickej strany Slovenska k maďarským komunistom na prelome štyridsiatych a päťdesiatych rokov 20. storočia
(The Policy of the Leadership of the Communist Party of Slovakia towards Hungarian Communists around 1950)
The study analyses the policy of the leadership of the Communist Party of Slovakia
(CPS) towards communists of Hungarian nationality after February 1948. It examines the attitude of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (CPC) and CPS to the membership of people of Hungarian nationality in their ranks with an emphasis on the fact that significant questions in this area were decided on the level of the CPC leadership in Prague. The Communist Party of Slovakia, already only a regional organization of the CPC, consistently put these decisions into practice. The paper gives a picture of the formation and activity of the Hungarian Commission at the Central Committee of the CPS, which worked from November 1948 to October 1949.

Proměny a konstanty kulturní diplomacie Německa a Rakouska v 60. a 70. letech 20. století ve srovnání se zeměmi západní Evropy a USA
(Changes and Constants in the Cultural Diplomacy of Germany and Austria in the 1960s and 1970s in Comparison with the Countries of Western Europe and the USA)
The cultural diplomacy of the Federal Republic of Germany underwent a period of great progress and fundamental changes during the 1960s and 1970s. This study analyses whether such a development was specific to Western Germany or whether it also occurred in other countries. A synchronic asymmetric historical comparison of cultural diplomacy is presented, comparing the FRG with other countries of the West, namely France, the USA, Great Britain, Italy and Austria, covering its chronological development, basic principles and its thematic and geographical priorities. The results show that the socio-historical factors, rather than international relations and transfers between nations, were considerably more influential for the development of cultural diplomacy in the Euro-Atlantic space in the 1960s and 1970s.

Legislatívne vymedzenie pojmu Žid v II. Česko-Slovenskej republike, I. Slovenskej republike a Protektoráte Čechy a Morava v rokoch 1938 – 1942
(The legislative definition of the term “Jew” in the Second Czecho-Slovak Republic, First Slovak Republic and Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, 1938 – 1942)
The article with several chapters is concerned with the gradually increasing strictness of anti-Jewish legislation using the example of the legislative definition of the term “Jew” in the legal systems of the Second Czecho-Slovak Republic, Protectorate
of Bohemia and Moravia and First Slovak Republic. The individual chapters are concerned mainly with the gradual deviation from the original definition given by confessional and nationality criteria to definitions already directly influenced by the German model. We point to the fact that in contrast to the original attempts to define the term Jew on a confessional or nationality basis, which was determined mainly by the existing tradition of anti-Judaism in Czech and Slovak society, the introduction of the so-called Nuremberg definition was a result of the effort of Germany to get others to copy its own anti-Jewish legislation based on the nonsensical idea of the racial distinctness of the Jewish community. This had a much more drastic impact on the Jewish community in our territory. We pay particular attention to government decree no. 63/1939 Sl. z. on definition of the term “Jew” and setting of the number of Jews in some of the free professions, decree no. 198/1941 Sl. z. on the legal position of Jews, government decree no. 136/1940 Sb. z. a n. on the legal position of Jews in public life and finally government decree no. 85/1942 Sb. z. a n., which issued further legal norms on Jews and people of partly Jewish origin.
