Postdoctoral Position Early Modern History

Postdoctoral Position at the Chair of Early Modern History, Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 100 %, starting on October 1, 2020. The position is initially limited to 3 years.

Responsibilities
- Research in Early Modern History geared to achieving habilitation or producing a second substantial monograph
- Contributing to research at the Chair of Early Modern History
- Participation in academic self-government
- Regular (face-to-face) teaching in the German language

Requirements
- A completed scientific university degree in the discipline of history
- A completed doctorate (in Early Modern History)
- Above-average performance during all qualification phases is expected
- German-language skills sufficient (from the commencement of the position) for the performance of teaching and other duties
- An exposé (max. 5 pages) outlining the applicant’s proposed research project

Teaching through English or French (supplementing or replacing regular teaching in German as needed) would be welcomed. Involvement with international research endeavors and a commitment to increasing international teaching and research cooperation is desired.

Part-time employment can be arranged on request.
