Die Vortragsreihe FORVM ANTIKE wird ins Internet verlegt. Das bewährte Format an der Universität Wien ist nun für ein größeres und internationales Publikum via Online-Sitzung zugänglich.

The lecture series FORVM ANTIKE moves to the internet. Based at the University of Vienna the event is now accessible to a larger and international audience via online meeting.

FORVM ANTIKE

Die Vortragsreihe FORVM ANTIKE wurde im Wintersemester 2013 als Kooperation zwischen dem Institut für Alte Geschichte und dem Institut für Numismatik und Geldgeschichte als Nachfolger von CONGIARIVM ins Leben gerufen. Als Vortragende wurden Expert/innen der Alten Geschichte, Epigraphik, Papyrologie, Etruskologie und Numismatik aus der ganzen Welt nach Wien eingeladen. Das Kollegium der altertumwissenschaftlichen Wiener Institutionen stellten bisher das Publikum.

Die Covid-Pandemie führt zu einer Neuaufstellung des bewährten Formats im Internet. Das neue digitale Format bietet die Möglichkeit, ein größeres und internationales Publikum zu erreichen.

Die Veranstaltung wird nun vom Institut für Alte Geschichte, vom Institut für Numismatik und Geldgeschichte und vom Institut für Byzantinistik und Neogräzistik organisiert und ist dem Forschungsschwerpunkt Kulturen des euromediterranen Raums und Altertumswissenschaften zugeordnet.

FORVM ANTIKE

The lecture series FORVM ANTIKE came into being in the winter term 2013 as a cooperation between the Department of Ancient History and the Department of Numismatics as successor of CONGIARIVM. As speakers, we invited experts in the fields of Ancient History, Epigraphy, Papyrology, Etruscology and Numismatics from all around the world. Colleagues from the participating institutes in Vienna have so far constituted the main audience of FORVM ANTIKE.

The COVID-19-pandemic has led to the adoption of a new online format for the lectures, allowing us to reach a broader and more international audience.

The lectures are now organised by the Department of Ancient History, the Department of Numismatics and the Department of Byzantine Studies, with the support of the Forschungsschwerpunkt Kulturen des euromediterranen Raums und Altertumswissenschaften.

The link to the event will be shared one day before the lecture on the website (https://forumantike.univie.ac.at/en/). Attendance is open to anyone interested.
