The identified thematic areas are intended to be broad in scope. Applicants are encouraged to identify up to two areas for which they wish to submit their application. The fellowship will start in the fall of 2022. Fellows are expected to be in residence in Washington, DC, and participate in GHI activities and events. The Fellow will have the opportunity to make use of resources in the Washington metropolitan area, including the Library of Congress and the National Archives, while pursuing his or her own research.
