The exhibition addresses issues such as the politics of health, the resilience of Indigenous knowledge systems, forms of kinship, fair land use and its distribution, decoloniality and the rights of the non-human, all entangled with various concepts of care, repair and healing. Some of the plentiful artistic positions on view are by Artemisia Gentileschi, Lygia Clark, Kader Attia and Wu Tsang.
In this context, the Gropius Bau will present a diverse accompanying disocurse-programme, which includes performances and physical interventions. SERAFINE1369, Gropius Bau’s In House: Artist in Residence 2021 will curate the programme visions, of which an acupuncture clinic in the atrium will be part of. Magnus Elias Rosengarten is curating the extensive discourse-programme Breathe. Furthermore, in the opening week, there will be performances by Tosh Basco, Brook Andrews and Eva Kot’átková.
