Hospitals in times of Crisis

"Hospitals in times of crisis" is focused on hospitals and clinics as possible responses to individual and societal crises, such as in times of epidemics, as institutions that have to prove themselves in times of external crisis, such as in times of war, and as complex institutions that have to cope with their own internal crises. Hospital and hospital history will be discussed chronologically and geographically in the broadest sense and in different perspectives. In addition to cultural, social and medical history, approaches to the topic from the history of science, urban history and architecture are also explicitly addressed. In particular, we would like to address especially early career scholars who are seeking international exchange in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere.

Conference talks will be broadcasted online. Access details at: https://www.krankenhausgeschichte.de/en/symposien-en/39-29-symposium
