The research seminar “Perspectives and Consequences of Global Governance and new scenarios of migration” at the “Tec de Monterrey” is calling for papers. The seminar is looking forward to publishing a book about new tendencies and perspectives of migration around the world under the paradigm of global governance. The objective of this project is the identification and development of prospects and influences of contemporary and future migration on politics, economics, culture and society. Furthermore, the book should point out the global dimension of migration and the challenges for actors in international politics.
Authors are invited to send either field or case studies and theoretical analyses. They must send a brief abstract (not more than 200 words) of their proposal together with their CV to the director of the research seminar, Dr. Thomas Cieslik, by e-mail: tcieslik@itesm.mx due September 1st 2004. The proposals will be evaluated by a committee that is formed by members of the seminar. The authors will be informed about the decision on September 15th 2004. Each article should have 15 pages (Times New Roman 12, 1.5 lines, and references according to the Harvard System, with a final bibliography). The deadline to send the complete article is January 9th 2005.
