Webinar: The Kazakh Famine and its legacies: a conversation with leading Historians.

The University of Exeter Central Asian Network (EXCAS) and the Oxford Society for the Caspian and Central Asia (TOSCCA) are pleased to be organising this online round table and discussion forum on the 1930-32 Kazakh Famine, in which the following participants will be discussing their research and publications:

Prof. Zhulduzbek Abylkhozhin, Kazakh-British Technical University and Institute of History and Ethnography, Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty.
Prof. Sarah Cameron, University of Maryland
Dr Robert Kindler, Humboldt University, Berlin
Prof. Arailym Mussagaliyeva, L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, Nur-Sultan
Dr Isabelle Ohayon, CERCEC/CNRS, Paris
Prof. Niccolò Pianciola, Lingnan University, Hong Kong

Each speaker will speak for 5-10 minutes, followed by a general discussion in which the audience are encouraged to ask questions and participate. The languages of the forum are English and Russian. Please note that the meeting will be recorded.
