The Franz Rosenzweig Minerva Research Center for German-Jewish Literature and Cultural History will award for the academic year 2005/06 (October 01, 2005 - June 30, 2006) doctoral and post-doctoral research fellowships.

Applicants should work on German-Jewish, German-Israeli or German Christian-Jewish topics in literature and cultural history from the 18th up until the 21st century.

Applicants interested in a post-doctoral fellowships must have been awarded the Ph.D. not later than October 01, 2002. Applications for a doctoral fellowship can only be accepted if the applicant has been a Ph.D. student for not more than five years.
Applicants may be of all nationalities. Israeli citizens who would like to apply for a doctoral fellowship have to be registered at the Hebrew University as a Ph.D. student. Israeli citizens who are registered as Ph.D. students at a university abroad will be treated as international applicants.

Successful applicants will be granted a monthly stipend. Furthermore, international applicants will be enrolled at the Rothberg School for International Students at the Hebrew University which covers health insurance. Fellows from abroad will also be alotted one 2-way flight (up to $600).
Applications will be considered by a committee on the basis of academic performance to date, the contents of the research proposal, an example of written work, and letters of recommendation.

Accordingly, applicants are asked to submit:

- A letter of application
- The research proposal (about 10 pages)
- A Curriculum Vitae
- Two letters of recommendation

An example of their written work, not more than fifty pages

Closing date for receipt of applications is July 01, 2005. The decisions will be made by August 04, 2005 and applicants will be informed forthwith.
