The Center for the History of Emotions has a vacant position for a student research assistant (20 hours per month) to support the research project “New Woman and Moral Politics: A Herstory of Women’s Feelings and Agency in Turkey” of Dr Esra Sarioglu, starting date: 15 March 2022 or later.

Tasks include bibliographical research mostly in English primary and secondary sources, independent excerption of primary and secondary sources, and Sourcing of literature.

Student research assistant for project "New Women and Moral Politics"

Responsibilities:

- Bibliographical research mostly in English primary and secondary sources
- Independent excerption of primary and secondary sources
- Sourcing of literature

Requirements:

- Enrolment as a student (PhD students are NOT eligible) in a Berlin or Brandenburg (county) university
- At least two study semesters in anthropology, cultural studies or related field of study
- Interest in gender studies
- Knowledge of English is essential and Turkish skills are a plus
- High personal motivation, ability to work independently and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and to work without direct supervision
