The Center for the History of Emotions has a vacant position starting on 1 October 2023 for a Student research assistant with 20 hours per month to support the research project “The End of Solidarity? Deindustrialization in Germany and France 1960–2000“ of Dr Julia Wambach.

The Center for the History of Emotions has a vacant position starting on 1 October 2023 for a

Student research assistant (20 hours per month)

to support the research project “The End of Solidarity? Deindustrialization in Germany and France 1960–2000“ of Dr Julia Wambach

Responsibilities:
- Bibliographical research and independent excerption in primary and secondary sources
- English language editing and copy editing of manuscripts
- Sourcing of literature

Requirements:
- Enrolment as a student (PhD students are NOT eligible) in a Berlin or Brandenburg (county) university
- At least two study semesters in History with focus on the 19th and especially 20th century
- Interest in the history of emotions
- Knowledge of English (native level) is essential, German and French skills are a plus
- Experience in English language and copy preferred
- High personal motivation, ability to work independently and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and to work without direct supervision

Salary:
The salary amounts to 12.33 €/hour for bachelor and 14.33 €/hour for master students.
