At the Department of Economic and Social History of the Vienna Faculty of History, Assistant Prof. Federico D’Onofrio is offering a PhD position (University Assistant "prae doc") in the field of economic and social or business history.

PhD position in social or economic history or STS

Requirements:

- Completed Master's degree (or equivalent) in History, Economic or Business History or equivalent qualification, with grades above average.
- A very good command of English (written and oral) is required.
- Knowledge of quantitative methods for economic history will be considered relevant.
- Fluency in German is not a necessary pre-requisite.

Your tasks will include:

- Participation in DATAREV project, including:
- Completing a doctoral dissertation of the spread of farm accounting
- Supporting the creation of the database of historical farm accountancy data
- Participating in publications / academic articles / presentations as defined by the PI of the DATAREV project - - Helping with the organisation of meetings, conferences, symposiums.
