The EHRI project, funded by the European funding program Horizon2020 until September 30, 2024, is dedicated to linking and promoting transnational Holocaust research, remembrance, and education. The main aim is to overcome the fragmentation of sources and expertise across institutions, countries, and continents. EHRI tackles this challenge by making the world's Holocaust archival holdings more visible and accessible by means of the EHRI portal, by offering a variety of seminars and workshops, and by providing informational and educational materials in the form of online courses, blog posts, and online editions. Currently, 25 institutions in Europe, Israel, and the USA are members of the project. The position to be filled is to support the coordination of the EHRI project at the Center and to contribute to the various work packages in which the IfZ is involved. The project language is English.
Duties include:
- Supporting international partners in the organization of methodological seminars
- Organizing workshops focusing on relevant topics in Holocaust research and education
- Coordination of automated data integration into the EHRI portal
- Manual data integration and maintenance of the EHRI portal
- Preparation of project reports and presentation of work results within EHRI
- Supporting the social media channels of the Center for Holocaust Studies

Essential Requirements include:
- Completed Master's degree in Modern History or equivalent
- Very good knowledge of the history of National Socialism and the Holocaust
- Familiarity with German archival landscape, especially regarding holdings related to the Holocaust
- Experience in creating project reports and presentations
- Experience in the organization of international events
- Excellent English and German language skills, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills, independence, team orientation, and flexibility
- Eagerness to working in an international team
- Willingness to travel within Europe and abroad

Desirable requirements include:
- Work experience in the field of digital humanities and information management
- Basic knowledge of standards for structuring archival data and common exchange formats (e.g. XML)
- Experience in dealing with social media
