To take up appointment on 1 October 2003.

The pensionable scale of stipends for a University Lecturer is 22,522 pounds a year, rising by eleven annual increments to 34,734 pounds. The initial appointment will be for three years and reappointment will then be to the retirement age, subject to satisfactory performance. University Lecturers can apply for promotion to Senior Lectureships, Readerships and
Professorships.

details of teaching experience and two samples of recent work, should be sent to the Secretary of the Appointments Committee, Department of History and Philosophy of Science, University of Cambridge, from whom further particulars may be obtained.
