German-speaking émigrés in British Cinema, 1925-1950 (Dr Tim Bergfelder)
Applications are invited for the following research post in conjunction with above AHRB-funded research project, for a fixed period of 3 years, starting in October 2004.
Research Assistant (Ref: 03A0864)
You will have a PhD in a Humanities subject area where you have acquired a strong cultural understanding of cinema. You will investigate the biographical, industrial, and cultural influences German-speaking film personnel had on the development of British cinema between the 1920s and the 1950s, and you will be coordinating the dissemination of research findings through conferences, symposia, publications, and digital means. Native or near-native ability in German as well as English is required for this post.
Salary will start at £21,852 per annum on Research Assistant spinal point 7.
