Part-time Lecturer in Modern American History

Salary £28,290 (0.5 FTE)

We seek to appoint a Lecturer in Modern American History, for ten months from September 2008, to join our expanding American history research cluster. The successful applicant:

- Will have a degree in History or related discipline, and a PhD completed, or near-completion, in any aspect of the modern history of the United States of America.

- Will be able to teach general undergraduate courses in history and specialist units on American Foreign Relations and the Vietnam War.

- Will be pursuing research in any field of American history.

- Will be able to take up the post on 1 September 2008.
