Predoctoral Position

1 Position for young researcher / PhD candidate / predoctoral candidate,
13 TV-L FU salary level, 50% workload, position for 1 year with possible prolongation up to 3 years in total.
We look for a candidate with a Master’s Degree in literary/cultural/media studies, history of art/of science/of medicine.
Assignments:
- Research on literary and/or graphic illness narratives from English and/or German background
Prerequisites:
- English C1 (near native fluency in reading, writing, conversation)
- German reading / conversation skills (B1-B2) welcome, though not mandatory
- ability to work in a team
- background in medical or health humanities welcome, though not mandatory
- experience as cartoonists welcome, though not mandatory

2. Postdoctoral Position

1 Position for postdoctoral researcher,
13 TV-L FU salary level, 75% workload, position for 1 year with possible prolongation up to 3 years in total.
We look for a researcher with PhD in literary/cultural/media studies or history of science/medicine.
Assignments:
- Pursuit of research project on literary and/or graphic illness narratives from English and/or German background
- Publications of related articles
- Organization of academic events
Prerequisites:
- English C1 (near native fluency in reading, writing, conversation)
- German reading / conversation skills (B1-B2) welcome, though not mandatory
- publications in the area of comics and/or literary illness narratives
- ability to work in a team
