+ Sales checking and due diligence work covering live auctions, online auctions and private sale items; including detailed provenance research, archival and library work.
+ Provenance research, archive and library work to support claim resolutions and business development work to reach fair and just solutions for all involved parties.
+ Research and inputting into restitution databases; maintaining integrity of information, and active contribution to in-house database.
+ Monitoring press in the region for relevant news.
+ Maintaining departmental library and materials.
+ Other projects as directed.
+ Working and reporting to team leaders in New York and London.

REQUIREMENTS:
+ A year's experience in a restitution-related or provenance research field.
+ In-depth knowledge of restitution matters and of the Vienna archives, libraries and museums.
+ Good (art) historical knowledge and understanding of the events of the Nazi-era.
+ Familiarity with online databases and resources covering Nazi-era art losses.
+ Good IT skills.
+ Fluent English and German; other languages desirable.
+ Meticulous and focused approach with an eye for detail.
+ A team player and with ability to work with all departments at Christie's but also a self-starter and experience of independent working.

Maximum salary would be 30,000 Euros.
