The Center for the History of Emotions, led by Prof. Dr. Ute Frevert, has a vacant position for a Student research assistant (20 hours per month) to support the research project “Devotional Practices and Coping Mechanisms in the Hasidic Branch of Breslov” of Yaara Benger Alaluf
Starting date: 1 March 2019 or later
Responsibilities:
- Bibliographical research in Hebrew and English primary and secondary sources
- Independent excerption of primary and secondary sources
- Sourcing of literature
Requirements:
- Enrolment as a student (PhD students are NOT eligible) in a German university
- Knowledge of Hebrew and English essential (good reading skills)
- High personal motivation, ability to work independently and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines and to work without direct supervision
