Centre for British Studies, HU Berlin

The Centre for British Studies is an interdisciplinary teaching and research institute within the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The advertised position is part-time (2/3), for a temporary replacement (until 31 July 2020), and vacant as of 15 October 2019.

Responsibilities:
Teaching British Politics (in English); tutoring and supervising postgraduate students; research in political science with an interdisciplinary agenda, on PhD or post-doc level; organisation of events and placements.

Requirements:
A very good master degree in political science, a good active knowledge of German, and the ability to work in a team.
Interest and experience in one or more of the following areas are desirable: cultural economics and creative industries, British economic and financial politics, the political system of the UK, international economic and political relations of the UK.

Salary:
Governed by the standard public sector salary scheme for graduates as applicable to the Humboldt-Universität, TV-L HU E 13 pro rata (66.6%).
