In der Fakultät für Philologie der Ruhr-Universität Bochum ist am Seminar für Slavistik/Lotman-Institut für russische Kultur zum 1. Oktober 2021 eine W3-Professur für Slavistik, insbesondere Literaturwissenschaft zu besetzen.

Die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber soll in Forschung und Lehre das Fachgebiet slavistische Literaturwissenschaft unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Literatur des 18.-21. Jahrhunderts und der polonistischen Kulturwissenschaft vertreten.

W 3-Professorship for Slavistics, with a focus on Literary Studies

The Department of Slavic Studies at the Faculty of Philology, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, seeks to fill this position by October 1 st 2021. The successful applicant will research and teach Slavic literary studies with a focus on the literature of the 18th -21 st centuries and on Polish cultural studies. Polish literary and cultural studies shall be one, Russian literary studies the other field of expertise. Experiences in interdisciplinary collaboration and in media studies are desirable. As teaching in the Master of Education program is part of the future responsibilities, expertise in teaching methodology is highly desirable.

Professur (W3) für Slavistik, insbesondere Literaturwissenschaft

In der Fakultät für Philologie der Ruhr-Universität Bochum ist am Seminar für Slavistik/Lotman-Institut für russische Kultur zum 1. Oktober 2021 eine W3-Professur für Slavistik, insbesondere Literaturwissenschaft zu besetzen.

Die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber soll in Forschung und Lehre das Fachgebiet slavistische Literaturwissenschaft unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Literatur des 18.-21. Jahrhunderts und der polonistischen Kulturwissenschaft vertreten. Der eine Schwerpunkt soll in der polonistischen Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft liegen, der andere in der russistischen Literaturwissenschaft. Wünschenswert ist die Berücksichtigung interdisziplinärer und moderner medienwissenschaftlicher Methodik. Der/die Stelleninhaber/in beteiligt sich am Master of Education, M.Ed. für das Unterrichtsfach Russisch, deshalb sind Erfahrungen in der Fachdidaktik wünschenswert.

Unterrichts- und Verwaltungssprache ist überwiegend Deutsch, daher sind entsprechende Deutschkenntnisse erforderlich. Weiterhin wird die Fähigkeit vorausgesetzt, zumindest in einer der beiden Zielsprachen (Polnisch oder Russisch) zu lehren.

Positiv evaluierte Juniorprofessur, Habilitation oder gleichwertige wissenschaftliche Leistungen im Bereich der slavischen Philologie sowie der Nachweis besonderer Eignung für die akademische Lehre werden ebenso vorausgesetzt wie die Bereitschaft zur Mitwirkung in der akademischen Selbstverwaltung.

Weiterhin werden erwartet:

- ein hohes Engagement in der Lehre;
- die Bereitschaft zur Mitarbeit an den aktuellen Forschungsverbünden der Fakultät und Universität;
- ein ausgewiesenes internationales Forschungsprofil in den genannten Schwerpunkten und Erfolge bei der Einwerbung drittmittelgeförderter Forschungsprojekte;
- Teamfähigkeit und kooperative Mitarbeiter/innenführung.

The teaching and administrative language is mostly German; therefore, adequate skills in German are required. Moreover, the future applicant is expected to be able to teach in one of the target languages (Polish or Russian).

Positively evaluated junior professorship, a habilitation or equivalent scientific achievements, evidence of specific aptitude for academic teaching as well as readiness to participate in the self-governing bodies are mandatory.

We expect further more:

- Strong commitment to academic teaching,

- Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation with other areas of research both inside and outside the Faculty,

- International networking,

- An established research record in Slavistics with a focus on the areas characterized above,

- Proven ability to acquire third-party funding and to develop appropriate research structures,

- Ability to work in a team and display cooperative leadership.
