An der Universität Regensburg hat sich ein Team gebildet, das Korruption und angrenzende Phänomene aus interdisziplinärer Sicht untersucht. Im Zentrum steht die Frage, wie sich Korruptionsverständnis und -bekämpfung in zwei benachbarten, aber historisch unterschiedlich geprägten Räumen Südosteuropas (Serbien und Kroatien) seit dem 19. Jahrhundert entwickelt haben. Zum 1. Februar 2020 sind drei Stellen als

Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin / Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter
(Doktorandin / Doktorand ) (m/w/d)

in Teilzeit (25 Stunden pro Woche) für das DFG-Projekt "Von der Informalität zur Korruption (1817-2018): Serbien und Kroatien im Vergleich" bis zum 31. Januar 2023 zu besetzen. Die Vergütung erfolgt nach TV-L E 13.

Zu besetzen sind drei Stellen in folgenden Teilprojekten:
1) Historisches Teilprojekt Korruption in Serbien und Kroatien im "kurzen“ 20. Jahrhundert, 1914-1989; Leitung: Prof. Dr. Klaus Buchenau, Lehrstuhl für Geschichte Südost- und Osteuropas (BU 2337/5-1).
2) Betriebswirtschaftliches Teilprojekt Korruption in Serbien und Kroatien seit 1990; Leitung: Prof. Dr. Thomas Steger, Lehrstuhl für Betriebswirtschaftslehre/Führung und Organisation (STE 1088/6-1).
3) Linguistisches Teilprojekt Die historische Semantik von INFORMALITÄT– empirische Studien zum thematischen Wortgebrauch anhand serbischer und kroatischer Pressetexte 1919-2018; Leitung: Prof. Dr. Björn Hansen, Lehrstuhl für slavische Philologie (HA 2659/11-1).

Ihre Aufgaben:
- Mitwirkung an einem der o.g. Teilprojekte
- Arbeit an einer Promotion zum Thema eines der Teilprojekte
- Teilnahme an Arbeitstreffen und Workshops des Gesamtprojekts "Von der Informalität zur Korruption (1817-2018): Serbien und Kroatien im Vergleich"
- organisatorische Unterstützung bei der Projektverwaltung

Unsere Anforderungen:
- sehr gut abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Master oder vergleichbarer Abschluss):
> in einem historischen Fach (Teilprojekt 1)
> in einem sozial- oder wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fach (Teilprojekt 2)
> in einem linguistischen Fach (Teilprojekt 3)
- für alle Teilprojekte:
> gute bis sehr gute Kenntnisse des Bosnischen/Kroatischen/Serbischen (mindestens B2)
> sichere deutsche und/oder englische Sprachkenntnisse (B2 bis C1)
> fachliche Kompetenz, Leistungsbereitschaft, Selbstmanagement und Selbstmotivation
> kommunikative Kompetenz und Kooperationswillen

The University of Regensburg, home to 21,000 students, is an innovative and interdisciplinary campus university offering young people from Germany and abroad a wide range of research activities and courses. As part of the academic focus on Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, a team has been formed to examine corruption and related phenomena from an interdisciplinary perspective. The central question addressed in the research project is how the understanding and the combating of corruption have developed since the 19th century in two neighbouring, but historically distinct areas of South-Eastern Europe. Research Associate (Postgraduate) (m / f / d)

Part-time (25 hours per week) in the DFG project "From Informality to Corruption (1817-2018): Serbia and Croatia in Comparison." Fixed-term contract until January 31, 2023. The remuneration is based on TV-L E 13.

There are three positions in the following subprojects:

- Historical Subproject 1) Corruption in Serbia and Croatia in the "short" 20th century, 1914–1989; Project Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Klaus Buchenau, Chair of Southeast and East European History (BU 2337 / 5-1).

- Business Subproject 2) Corruption in Serbia and Croatia since 1990; Project Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Thomas Steger, Chair of Business Administration/Leadership and Organization (STE 1088 / 6-1).

- Linguistic Subproject 3) The historical semantics of INFORMALITY—empirical studies on the patterns of word usage in Serbian and Croatian press texts 1919–2018; Project Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Björn Hansen, Department of Slavonic Studies (HA 2659 / 11-1).

Your responsibilities:

- Participation in one of the subprojects listed above

- Work on a doctoral thesis based on one of the subprojects

- Participation in meetings and workshops for the project "From informality to corruption (1817-2018): Serbia and Croatia in comparison"

- Organizational support in project management

Your profile:

- Applicants are expected to have an excellent academic degree (Master or comparable degree):

> in the field of history (Subproject 1)

> in the field of social sciences, management or economics (Subproject 2)

> in the field of linguistics (Subproject 3)

- For all subprojects, applicants should:

> have a good to very good knowledge of Bosnian / Croatian / Serbian language (at least B2)

> be fluent in German and/or English (B2 to C1)
