The Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is a world-leading research environment in energy history. We're now looking for a post-doctoral researcher in this field. The post-doc will do research about the history of energy supply. Within this broad frame, the post-doc will have considerable flexibility in defining his or her own research focus.

1 Post-Doc "Energy History"

The Division of History of Science, Technology and Environment at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is a world-leading research environment in energy history. We're now looking for a post-doctoral researcher in this field. The post-doc will do research about the history of energy supply. Within this broad frame, the post-doc will have considerable flexibility in defining his or her own research focus.

The post-doc will be part of a dynamic research environment with a long track record in energy studies and in which historical studies are seamlessly integrated with studies with a more present-day focus.

Funded by the StandUp energy-strategic research programme (https://www.standupforenergy.se), the post-doc will play an important part in strengthening the historical and societal dimension of KTH’s energy-oriented research.

Required qualifications:

1. A doctoral degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in history, history of technology, environmental history, STS, or a related field. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

4. Independence
5. Very good English skills are a must, since the post-doc will be working in a multi-cultural research environment and be expected to publish in English language.

Preferred qualifications:

1. A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
2. Earlier experience of energy-historical research is a plus.
3. Awareness of questions of diversity and equality with a special focus on gender equality and equal opportunities.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
