- To be an active part of the larger project and contribute to a joint comparative analysis of the Europeanisation of the universities and the emergence of the so-called knowledge society in the period in question.
- To actively contribute to the activities of LUCK in general. In order to meet these expectations, and since you will be working closely with the research director and other members of LUCK, it is a requirement that you are collaborative and have a high level of attendance in Lund.

Travel to archives and conferences abroad is part of the position. The same applies to joint work with and administration of the research group’s publications, workshops and other activities.

Requirements for employment are:

- A doctoral degree (or a foreign qualification deemed to be equivalent to a doctoral degree), preferably obtained no more than seven years before the deadline for applications.
- Ability to read texts in the language(s) necessary to carry out the proposed sub-project.
- Independence, collaborative skills and scholarly curiosity.
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.

Additional qualifications for the position are:

- Good knowledge of the history of knowledge and/or university history.
- Good knowledge of contemporary European history, the history of European integration and/or the history of the so-called knowledge society.
- Good knowledge of the historical and national contexts necessary to carry out the proposed sub-project.
- Experience of having developed research environments and/or research collaborations, for example by co-authoring scholarly texts, organising workshops or editing publications.
