Promotionsstipendien in Melbourne, Australien

The Institute for Social Research (www.sisr.net) is located at Swinburne University of Technology's Hawthorn campus in Melbourne, Australia (www.swin.edu.au). The Institute is currently recruiting PhD students to work in either of its three programs: Cities, Housing and the Environment; Media & Communications; and Citizenship & Government. Researchers at the Institute work on a diverse range of issues, including, for example, sustainable urban development (Prof Newton), electoral laws in parliamentary democracies (Prof Costar), digital broadcasting and media ownership (Prof Given), liberal governmentality and civic formation (Prof Meredyth), and refugee policy (Prof Neumann). Currently Swinburne University is making available several three-year ($20,000 p/a) PhD scholarships for students from Australia and overseas.
