The German History Society (GHS) invites entries to its annual Postgraduate Essay Prize. To be eligible candidates must be registered for a postgraduate degree (master’s or doctoral) at a university in the Republic of Ireland or the United Kingdom; or they must have submitted their dissertation within 12 months of the date of submission of the essay. Essays may be on any aspect of German history, including the history of German-speaking people both within and beyond Europe. The prize winner will receive £500 and their essay will be considered for publication in the journal German History. Manuscripts which are already in press or have been submitted for publication in another journal are not eligible.
