We are glad to announce an additional call for submissions to the 14th issue of the journal. Original research articles, book reviews, and discussion materials written within the frame of Urban Studies are accepted.
A separate section of the upcoming issue will be focused on the quality of life theme. Suggested research topics may include, but are not limited to:
- historiography and methodological approaches to the study of quality of life;
- demographic markers;
- urban space transformations and the production of new social spaces;
- medicine and sanitation: perceptions and measures;
- nutrition – from marketplace to a dining table;
- new forms of economy and industrial society models influences on the quality of life;
- interaction between ancien régime and new institutions;
- new opportunities: mobility, information transfer, communications;
- irregularities and gaps: social inequality, differences between village and city;
- great reforms and their impact on quality of life;
- ideas, religiosity, cultural sphere, leisure;
- quality of life and the history of things.
We will be glad to receive the articles based on various approaches, starting from cliometrics or microhistorical analysis and ending with an interdisciplinary approach.

City History, Culture, Society is a Ukrainian peer-reviewed online journal aimed at advancing urban studies in Ukraine, as well as developing a network of researchers specializing in urban studies in and outside Ukraine. Institute of History of Ukraine (the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine) and the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University are the co-founders of the periodical.
