The Organizers of the XIII Congress invite proposals for sessions on all topics in economic history, broadly defined to include related fields such as demographic history, social history, and the history of economics. The Association has a particularly strong desire to attract more sessions on the period before 1800 and more sessions concerning economies other than those of Western Europe and North America.
Proposals for sessions do not need to include a full panel of participants at this time. It is suggested that session organizers issue a Call for Participants after they receive notice of selection in May. It should be noted that the scientific program of the XIII Congress will be a more open format than the previous organization of A-, B-, and C-sessions. Session organizers will be given wide discretion to shape the format of their sessions, and the Association welcomes proposals for innovative formats that are appropriate for the session theme.
The complete Call for Sessions and proposal submission instructions appear on the Congress web site at http://www.eh.net/XIIICongress
Session Proposal Deadline: April 19, 1999
