Project WARLUX collects their biographies and investigate their individual profiles from the perspective of their social background, trajectories during the war and their life in the post-war period.
Your Role:
- You will research the state of the art of “forced recruitment” in Europe (especially in Luxembourg, France and Belgium) and write a historiographical report
- Support and finalize the database (nodegoat) on the biographical profiles
- Curate and index the digital collection on ego-documents and war letters
- Support outreach activities for a national and international audience
What we expect from you:
- PhD in history, (historical) cultural studies or Digital History
- Expertise /knowledge of WWII and contemporary European History
- Passionate about using technology to conduct historical research
- Experience working in physical or digital archives
- Interest or experience in outreach and public speaking
- Knowledge of German, French and English – Luxembourgish is a plus
