Salary: £32,469p.a. – £33,927p.a.

We are seeking a Research Officer to work on a Leverhulme Trust funded project on late medieval and early modern economic history under the title “Integration and Growth: Capital and Goods Markets in 14th to 18th c. Europe”. We invite applications from historians and economic historians interested in and working with primary sources. It is expected that you will contribute to both empirical and conceptual work within the project, working alongside Professor Max-Stephan Schulze and Dr Oliver Volckart. The successful candidate is expected to assume some administrative responsibility for the project.

You will have a completed or nearly completed a PhD in a relevant field. In addition you will have excellent research skills in historical and social science methods, together with the ability to work with late medieval/early modern German language archival sources. A knowledge of German is essential, that of other European languages would be an advantage.
