Tenure-Track Positions in the Center for German Studies
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The Center for German Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem seeks to fill two half tenure-track positions beginning in October 2014. This search is open to scholars in all sub-fields of Political Science, International Relations or Sociology pertaining to contemporary Germany. Junior and senior scholars are encouraged to apply. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates will have to apply for the second half of the tenure-track position to one of the calls of the departments of Political Science, International Relations or Sociology.

Ideal candidates are expected to have a record of publication of innovative and high-quality research in top-tier journals and/or books. They are also expected to present a substantial scholarly agenda.

The language of teaching at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is Hebrew (though some courses are taught in English). New faculty are expected to be able to teach in Hebrew within two years.

To apply, please submit a letter of intent stating willingness to begin teaching in the fall of 2014, a list of required and elective courses the candidate can teach at the Hebrew University, a scientific biography, CV, three recent publications, and at least three letters of recommendation.
