The HSFA is seeking to recruit its first Archivist to work on the preservation of records, objects, and photographs of Holocaust survivors and refugees who made their lives in the North of England.

Archivist

This is an exciting moment to join the HSFA, as we rebrand to position ourselves as the centre for Holocaust education and awareness in the North of England. The Archivist will be reporting to the Head of Research but will be working closely with the Head of Collections and the Director.

The post-holder will be involved in many activities supporting the capture of new content for the archive as well as access to the existing collections. The Archivist will be required to draft conservation policies and to advise the Senior Management Team on the requirements of expanding our collection.

There will also be opportunities to help supervise volunteers and students within archive-based volunteer programmes and community projects.

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK without restrictions.

The HSFA promotes diversity and equality of opportunity at all levels As such, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.

Please contact Chelsea Sambells (c.c.sambells@hud.ac.uk) to receive the Archivist Recruitment Pack here. To apply, please submit a CV and Covering Letter to C.c.sambells@hud.ac.uk by Sunday 11th of July.
