Position Description
New York University (NYU) Berlin is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an undergraduate course entitled "Marx, Nietzsche, and Freud" in the Fall 2019 semester. Candidates should be passionate about teaching and supporting undergraduate students in their studies, have a track record of academic publications in the field and be fluent in English.

The course is taught in English, meets once per week for 3 hours on NYU Berlin’s campus, and the sessions are a mixture of lecture and seminar. The Fall term begins on September 2, 2019 and ends on December 19, 2019.

Course Description
The course introduces students to the work of Marx, Nietzsche, and Freud, three German-language authors who, in different and decisive ways, provided radically new understandings of economics, philosophy, and the psyche. Beyond these foundations of modern Western thought, we welcome ideas to enrich the course with texts from additional authors representing less prominent perspectives.
