Konrad Jarausch Essay Prize for Advanced Graduate Students in Central European History

On behalf of the North Carolina German Studies Seminar, I am proud to announce the fifth annual Konrad Jarausch Essay Prize for Advanced Graduate Students in Central European History. We invite any doctoral candidate at a North American university to submit an article or dissertation chapter. A committee will select a winner, who will be given a $1000 honorarium and the opportunity to present his or her work to our vibrant seminar. This annual prize honors Professor Jarausch and his long commitment to graduate student instruction. The hope is to discover and reward the most exciting work being done by advanced graduate students in Central European history.
