International Prize for an outstanding publication

Jews and Illiberal Regimes in Eastern Europe after 1917

The Leonid Nevzlin Research Center for Russian and East-European Jewry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem is pleased to announce an international competition for outstanding academic publications on Jews and Illiberal Regimes in Eastern Europe after 1917.

Submission requirements:

- Peer-reviewed books or articles published at an academic press since January 2016 or peer-reviewed books and articles that have been accepted for publication at an academic press.
- Eligible languages: Hebrew, English, Polish, German, Russian and Ukrainian.
- Applications must be submitted no later than May 31, 2018.
- Applications must include a pdf file of the publication, the candidate's CV and all contact information.

All applications will be reviewed by an international committee of scholars.

The winners of the prize will be announced by January 1, 2019.

Awards: $7,000 for an outstanding book and $3,000 for an outstanding article.
